I received my Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology at UT Austin and have been working as a speech-language pathologist for more than 25 years. Most of my career has been spent in the medical field, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, beginning with adult patients and later transitioning to pediatric patients.
I have certifications for providing VitalStim therapy, and for the Hanen programs “It Takes Two to Talk”, and “More Than Words”. I am a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
I grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, but consider myself a Texan after living in Austin for nearly 30 years! I love what I do and I am amazed at how much I still have to learn in this field, and how exciting it is to help a child find his or her “voice”.
I love to hang out with my friends and my dog Jude, and I enjoy yoga, and learning Tai Chi.
